Communication Advancements

There were communication advancements shown at the 1904 World's Fair that were outstanding for their time. There were stations where you could communicate with people from accross the fair. With the De Forest Wireless Telegraph Company exibit, people could expirience fast communication, all without wires! There was a 300ft tall tower erected for observation and to broadcast information about the fair to the St. Louis post dispatch and the St. Louis Star so people outside the fair could recieve news on the goings-on of the fair.

Along with the wireless Telegraph, there was also the Telautograph. The Telautograph was a device that used electrical signals so control the placement of a pen, so basically an olden day fax machine. it wasn't wireless, but none the less innovative.
